Terms and conditions

Pedung is operated by pedung.com (“we”, “us”, “our”). These terms are the agreement between you and pedung.com, and they cover our website, our mobile apps and every game published on them.

You accept these terms by creating an account, and by using Pedung with or without one. Our community rules and our privacy policy form part of this agreement. Where a translated version of this page differs from the English one, the English one applies.

You must be 13 or older. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for a service like this, or asks for a parent or guardian to agree first, that requirement applies to you as well. By using Pedung you confirm you meet it.

One person, one account, and the account is yours alone — you may not sell it, rent it or hand it to someone else. If we have closed an account of yours for breaking these terms, opening a new one is itself a breach.

Give us details that are true and keep them current. Choose a password you use nowhere else, keep it to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has reached your account.

You are responsible for everything done from your account. You can delete it at any time from Settings.

Pedung is a community for short browser games. You describe a game, AI builds it, you change it until you like it, and you can publish it for other people to play. Published games run inside a locked-down sandbox on a separate hostname, with no network access and no way to reach your account. Playing published games is free; building with AI is paid for with credits.

Pedung is for entertainment. We may add, change, pause, restrict or withdraw any part of it — including AI building, publishing, leaderboards and the apps themselves — and we may set or change limits on use. We will announce significant changes in the app where we reasonably can.

These limits apply to every part of Pedung: briefs, change requests, uploaded games, photos, titles, descriptions, comments, handles, display names and profiles. They apply however the content is framed — satire, parody, testing or a joke are not exceptions.

You must also keep to the law that applies to you, and you may not use Pedung to break it, to promote gambling for real money, or to advertise or sell anything.

Use Pedung as it is meant to be used. Do not attack, overload, probe or interfere with it; do not scrape it, copy its database or harvest information about its members; do not reverse-engineer, decompile or work around any technical limit or security measure; do not use bots, scripts or automation to create accounts, inflate plays, likes, follows or leaderboard scores; and do not resell or redistribute any part of the service.

Leaderboards are social, not certified. Reporting a score you did not earn, or tampering with a game to produce one, breaks these terms.

Some words are blocked outright. Before anything is built, every brief and change request is checked against a list of banned terms covering sexual content, sexual violence and anything involving minors. If one matches, the request is refused before any AI runs, and your account is disabled straight away pending review — you are signed out, log-in stays closed, and your games stay offline until a moderator has looked at it.

A moderator reviews every disabled account. If it was a mistake we re-enable it; if it was deliberate, the account stays closed permanently. Anything involving minors is reported to the authorities.

Less serious rule-breaking earns a strike, and strikes remove your ability to build and publish. We can also hide or delete a game, a comment or an account at any time when it breaks these terms, and we can refuse, restrict or reverse any action on the service.

Anyone can report a game or a comment from its menu. Reports are private, and a moderator reviews them. If you think a decision about your account was wrong, email support@pedung.com and a person will look at it again.

Your games, photos, comments and profile stay yours. You keep every right you already had in them, and you are responsible for them.

By publishing on Pedung you give pedung.com a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, reformat, thumbnail, clip, stream, display, distribute and promote that content on Pedung and in material that promotes Pedung, so other people can find it and play it. That licence covers the automatic previews and gameplay clips the service generates for the feed, search and share cards. It lasts while your content is published and for a short period afterwards while copies clear our backups. We may pass it on to the suppliers who run our hosting, storage and delivery, for that purpose alone.

You confirm you have the right to everything you upload — including any photo of a person, and their agreement to be in your game — and that publishing it breaks nobody else's rights.

Other people can remix a published game's idea, and anything you publish can be reported by other players and reviewed by us. Your handle, display name, published games, comments and leaderboard scores are visible to anyone, including people who are not logged in.

AI writes the game code from what you describe. We do not promise that a build will work, will match what you pictured, will be original, or will be free of bugs, and two people giving similar descriptions may get similar games. Check what you have built before you publish it: once it is published, it is your content under section 8.

Every brief, change request, photo and finished game is reviewed for safety before it is built or published, and a request that breaks these terms is refused. Safety checks err in both directions, so something harmless may be refused. Treat a refusal as final — working around one is a breach of these terms.

Whether AI-generated material can be owned at all differs from country to country, and we make no promise about it either way. Nothing in this section gives you rights in the AI systems, models or software we use.

1 credit = 1¢ paid. Credits are how you pay for AI build time. You buy them with a plan each month (Creator $20, Studio $50), or with a top-up whenever you want more.

Credits are not money. They are a limited licence to use AI build time on Pedung. They cannot be cashed out, transferred, sold or exchanged, they carry no interest, they have no value outside Pedung, and they are not a stored-value or payment instrument of any kind.

A build costs what the AI actually used, multiplied by 2. Before anything runs you are shown the worst case — the most that build could possibly cost — and that many credits are held. When it finishes you are charged the real amount and every unused credit comes straight back. AI runs once your credits cover the hold.

Credits expire. Plan credits last until the end of the following billing period, so they roll over once. Top-up credits last 12 months from purchase. Expired credits are gone and are not refunded. Your plan renews each month until you cancel it, which you can do at any time from Credits. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are in.

Payments are taken by Stripe, and their terms apply to the payment itself. Prices may change, and a change takes effect from your next renewal. Where the law gives you a right to cancel or to a refund, you keep it in full. Beyond that, credits that have been spent are not refundable, and closing your account forfeits the credits left in it.

If a payment is reversed or charged back, we remove the credits it bought — including any already spent, which leaves the account with an outstanding balance until it is paid.

What we collect, why, who it reaches and how to get it back or removed is set out in our privacy policy. The text of your brief, your change requests and any photos you attach go to our AI provider so a game can be built and safety-checked.

Pedung is provided as it is and as it is available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude every warranty, condition and term that would otherwise be implied — including any implied promise of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

In particular, we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; that a game will build, keep working, or keep its saves, scores or history; that content will always be available or recoverable; that our safety checks will catch everything; or that anything published by another member is accurate, lawful or suitable for you. Keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose.

Games are made by members, not by us, and what a member publishes is their content, not ours. We review reports and act on them, and we have no duty to monitor everything in advance.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow to be limited or excluded. If you deal with us as a consumer, you keep every right the law of your country gives you, and nothing on this page takes those rights away.

Subject to the paragraph above, and to the fullest extent the law allows:

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue, business, goodwill, opportunity, data, saves, scores, games or credits, however caused.
• We are not liable for what members publish, for anything a game does or fails to do, for the conduct of other members on or off Pedung, or for any dispute between you and another member.
• We are not liable for loss caused by something outside our reasonable control, including failures of the internet, of your device, or of a supplier we depend on.
• Our total liability to you, for every claim taken together arising in any twelve-month period, is limited to whichever is the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and US$50.

Pedung is entertainment. Do not rely on it for anything else, and do not put anything into a game that you could not afford to lose or to have seen by other people.

You agree to cover us for any claim, loss, damage, fine or reasonable legal cost we incur because of content you published, your use of Pedung, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of somebody else's rights. We will tell you promptly about any claim we ask you to cover, and we will not settle it in a way that places an obligation on you without your agreement.

You can stop using Pedung at any time, and you can delete your account from Settings.

We may suspend or close an account, take content down, or stop providing Pedung to you, where these terms are broken, where the law requires it, or where doing so protects members, the public or the service. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will say why.

When this agreement ends, your published games come down, your licence to use the service stops and any credits left in the account are forfeited. Sections 8, 12, 13, 14, 17 and 18 carry on afterwards, together with anything else that by its nature is meant to.

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and using Pedung after a change means you accept it. Significant changes will be announced in the app. If a change does not suit you, you can delete your account.

This agreement, and any dispute or claim arising out of it or its subject matter, is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over it.

If you are a consumer, this clause does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, or your right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country where the law gives you that right.

Before starting any claim, please email support@pedung.com — most things are settled faster that way.

These terms, the community rules and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and pedung.com about Pedung.

If any part of them is found to be unenforceable, the rest carries on. If we do not enforce something straight away, we keep the right to enforce it later. We may transfer this agreement to another company as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business, and your rights under it stay the same; you may not transfer it. Nobody other than you and pedung.com has any right to enforce these terms.
